You voted for change in our student government— where SGA cared about what students had to say and cared about how it spent your money.
Drew Graham, Tyler Patton and Jenny Mayants are the new executive officers of your SGA.
Not only did Graham, Patton and Mayants sweep the executive officer election, virtually every senator we endorsed will soon be sworn in to the 46th Legislative Session.
Tonight was definitely a win for the students at this university, and we couldn’t thank you all enough for making it happen.
MySGA.com isn’t going anywhere, either. We’re going to sit down and talk about how we can use this Web site while we’re in office, so stay tuned for details.
Thanks again everyone. We cannot begin to express our gratitude for your support and your votes. Congratulations on putting student government at Texas Tech back in your hands.
The polls for the 2010 SGA Election have just closed. We’ll update you on the results, which will hopefully be released by 9:00 this evening. Thank you all for your support and your contributions to this campaign.
The issue of safety on our university campuses is at the forefront the national conversation about the issue. Universities are zeroing in on making their campuses as safe as possible.
As your executive officers, Drew, Tyler and Jenny will be just as committed to keeping you safe on campus. In fact, Drew and Tyler have their own ideas on how we can make Texas Tech an even safer place to live and learn.
Good news, people. Now you can take MySGA.com everywhere you are.
Own an iPhone or a Blackberry? No problem.
Any mobile device capable of browsing the internet can keep you connected to the campaign, even when your computer isn’t with you. Just visit MySGA.com with your phone’s browser, and you’ll be taken to the mobile version of our Web site!
In a second attempt to bring greater transparency and accountability to the SGA at Texas Tech, Drew Graham reintroduced SB 45.16, formerly known as SB 45.12 on Thursday.
SB 45.16 contained slight revisions to wording which clarified the overall process and executive budget structures cited in the bill.
This time, our bill passed with 69% approval.
Read the Daily Toreador’s coverage of last night’s senate meeting after the jump.
It really disappoints us to see just how much effort the SGA has put in to phasing you out of the process of improving this university.
We believe in a student-centered approach, not a top-down approach where the SGA listens to the Administration first and students second.
As your SGA Executive officers, Drew, Tyler and Jenny will implement programs that will put students back in control and make your voice matter again. Your priorities are our priorities 24/7, and nothing will ever change that.
Red Raiders, welcome to the website for the campaign to elect Drew Graham, Tyler Patton and Jenny Mayants the next executive officers of your Student Government Association at Texas Tech.
